Anesthesia services at New England Baptist Hospital are provided by Anaesthesia Associates of Massachusetts, the Northeast's premier provider. Our department is committed to unsurpassed excellence, and our goal is to deliver safe, efficient anesthesia care to every patient every time. We take a patient centered approach and strive to meet everyone's individual needs. Comprehensive services are delivered by board certified anesthesiologists and certified, registered nurse anesthetists. Department services and activities include:
- A dedicated, highly trained, acute pain management team whose sole focus is to minimize your peri-operative pain. State of the art techniques are used, including ultrasound guided nerve blocks and continuous catheter infusions.
- An interventional chronic pain management service provided by anesthesiologists with advanced fellowship training and added board certification in pain management. Sedation services during pain procedures are available on request.
- The department participates in clinical research and is affiliated with both the Tufts University and Boston University Schools of Medicine.
