Paul Pierce: The Importance of Teamwork

Six-time NBA All Star, Champion and Finals MVP Paul Pierce is one of the best overall offensive players in the game of professional basketball. He is totally dedicated to the game and to his team, with a reputation for pulling out all the stops and playing even harder in a crunch situation.

As Captain of the World Champion Boston Celtics, Pierce understands the importance of teamwork and tells players that, no matter how great the player, no one person can win the game, that it's a team effort every time.

New England Baptist Hospital - the Official Team Hospital of the Boston Celtics since 1987 - adheres to the same philosophy. With a team of medical staff on-site during games at the TD Banknorth Garden, and around-the-clock care available through the Hospital, Baptist staff are experts at delivering everything the Celtics need. Having been with the Boston Celtics his entire NBA career - 10 years as of the 2008-09 season - Pierce is well acquainted with the quality of care provided by the Baptist. "The Baptist staff takes care of the players like we're family. We get top-notch care, scheduled as quickly as possible and delivered with warmth. I know that they are dedicated to getting us back onto the court as quickly and safely as possible and I appreciate that."
