New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH) is an adult Medical/Surgical hospital that currently houses 140 patient beds and 12 operating rooms and provides patient-centered Diagnostic, Surgical, Medical, and Rehabilitative treatment. NEBH also has a nationally recognized expertise in orthopedic care. The Hospital's physicians perform more complex orthopedic procedures than any other hospital in Massachusetts, resulting in a 10% market share of complicated orthopedic procedures.
NEBH offers a full range of services in orthopedics and rheumatology, joint replacement, spine care, foot and ankle care, hand surgery, occupational medicine and sports medicine. Health and Wellness education and support provide preventive health and disease management information. In addition, the Hospital is a teaching affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine and conducts teaching programs in collaboration with the Harvard School of Public Health and the Harvard School of Medicine.
The Hospital has received recognition from the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) as one of the top 10 hospitals nationally for orthopedic procedures. For the past four consecutive years, NEBH has also been recognized by U.S.News & World Report as one of the top orthopedic hospitals in the country. Press Ganey reported that the NEBH is in the top 1% for patient satisfaction in the Greater Boston area as well as nationally. The Hospital has also been cited in the New York Times as a leader in infection control in response to a recent hospital-wide infection control initiative.
